The word ‘mind your own business’ sometimes it is used in a disparaging way but it is a great advice when it comes to Internet marketing.
Almost everyday there are many flesh blood enter the internet marketing arena. They become a member of internet marketing guru’s mailing list who they hope will coach them and then they are simply bribed with ‘offers they can’t refuse’ by these experts.
Some of the offers are nothing more than a piece of junk designed mainly to separate the newbies from his money. Usually it won’t take long for even the most naive newbie to begin to realised been used and disillusioned.
It’s very easy to get caught up in all of the excitement of a product launch by a big name guru.
After all, they are the experts….the people that are supposed to know what newbies really need in order to make money online.
They are great sales person! How do you think that they became a guru? They are masters of persuasion.
But I’m not telling you that all of the products that are launched by gurus are bogus or that they are all nothing but a piece of junk. That isn’t true at all.
There are a lot of very good…even excellent products in the market that can help you make money online.
The main point is being able to distinguish which ones are good products with great value and which ones are being launched just to drag money out from your pocket.
This is where the statement, ‘mind your own business’ comes in. It is totally up to you to know your own business well enough to be able to identify between the products that will bring value to you and those that are just hype and fluff.
Here’s another piece of advice: To succeed in internet marketing you must get out from your comfort zone
We all have a comfort zone. There are things that we are very comfortable to do and these are usually things that we are good at it. We are very confident to do jobs that fall into our comfort zone with success.
Maybe you are very confident in affiliate marketing. You do very well and you are making a good amount of income. It’s good for you! But are you sure that this is the best you can do?
Maybe you could make a lot more money if you take things seriously. Of course, serious marketing not belong to your comfort zone so you are going to stretch yourself a little bit.
If you have never used Google Adwords and done a marketing campaign, that idea might make you a little doubtful but you shouldn’t afraid of to try new things if you want to become very successful in the internet marketing arena. All you need to do is gather the information that you need and then go for it! I am not asking you to fly blind. You should do some homework before you try to launch a marketing campaign using Google Adwords.
Maybe you have never written any articles that relate to your niche that you promoting on your website and submitted them to articles directories.
Maybe this is also outside your comfort zone but you can make more money by doing it. If you can’t write, just buy PLR products and rewrite them or hire a ghost writer.
Blogging might bring more traffic to your website but you may be doubtful about adding one just because it is a totally new idea for you.
Quit being doubtful and get busy. You can magnify your comfort zone as well as your income by learning new techniques to help you become very successful in the internet marketing arena.

Yesterday I received a call from my close friend looking for advice on how to make money on the Internet.
He have goals, big goals, but he is lost. He can’t figure out what to sell.
They ask things like, “What can I sell? What’s a good thing to sell? What’s hot?”
And here’s my answer:
“You are doing it backwards”
Instead of mess around trying to find a product to sell, you need to first find a hungry market to sell to. Once you’ve found that hungry market, getting the product is easy. Once you know what’s the market needs and wants, selling stuff to them will be much more easier.
But here’s the real problem: He done those steps, but he fall into wanting to sell to markets that are already saturated. For example, the weight loss market, or the Internet marketing market (it seems everyone has an eBook on how to make money online).
But I always suggest doing the opposite.
I always urge people to find a…well…”unsexy” market. Perhaps you would call it a ‘boring’ market. What I’m talking about is finding a market that is huge and flush with cash, but is not all that exciting.
Let’s take the parenting market as an example. That’s a pretty good market. I mean everyone has a hard time with their kids and might possibly spend some money for some advice or solutions that would make their lives easier. Another one that is huge, and even desperate for answers, is the growing number of people looking for care for their aging parents.
When someone gets a debilitating disease and can’t fend for themselves, they will do anything or pay anything just to get some help and keep their dignity.
Those are just a couple examples.
There are so many ‘untapped’ markets out there.
What you need to do is come up with one that is hungry with a real need and where there is money to spend.
Just remember, the market you selling stuff to doesn’t have to be sexy or exciting. It just has to be big, passionate and filled with people who are not afraid to spend money.
Plus if you go for the “boring” ones, you will find less competition and much more easier to make money.

Today we will cover the final piece of the puzzle is follow up and its impact on conversion. As I mentioned before, the majority of visitors to a website do not convert into customers on the first visit.
Step Four: Follow Up
This is why most Internet business deploy ‘lead capture’ forms on their sites.
You see, if you can get the visitor to opt-in for more information about your offer, you’ve got a much better chance of getting the sale somewhere down the line. Getting visitors’ names and email addresses allows you to contact them on a regular basis and keep the offer on their mind, or even offer them an alternative product.
If you aren’t convinced of the value of list-building, let me illustrate a sample scenario.
Let’s say that you send visitors to your site, and only 1 out of every 100 of them converts to a sale. This is a 1% conversion rate. It’s better than nothing, but you’re not going to make much money over time unless you’re selling/promoting an expensive item.
Why?
Pretend you’ve gotten your numbers up to 1,000 visitors per month. At a 1% conversion rate, that works out to only 10 sales per month.
On a $50 sale, that would mean your monthly profit is $500. Definitely not enough to quit your day job, and how much did you have to spend in time or money to generate those 1,000 visitors?
Now, let’s say that you decide to start capturing leads. You get more of your visitors onto your opt-in list and start following up with them. Suddenly, your conversion rate goes up to 10%, or 10 out of every 100 visitors on average converting.
You still have 1,000 visitors to your site, but now you have 100 sales of a $50 product instead of 10, so your income jumps to $5,000/mo. Make sense?
Follow up is really one of the most important components of an Internet business, and there will rarely be a time when you’re better off bypassing lead capture and follow up. Still, it is important to note that there are cases where you can do so. If you’re doing affiliate marketing, for example, you can send visitors directly to a merchant’s sales page via your affiliate link, rather than to your own site first.
Again, most affiliates send visitors to their own sites first because this means they can get those visitors onto an opt-in list before the visitor gets to the merchant’s sales page (and onto the merchant’s email list, which likely doesn’t track affiliate referrals!).
